This book can be very helpful if you apply it the way the author intended. Now, not everything in here will apply in every marriage or to every women. That being said, there is something in here to enrich any marriage out there. I have found myself doing some of these actions before I read the book, but now I have actual purpose to do these things. As a man working to repair a marriage I read thus book from front to back, applying a few of these ways to show love and affection everyday. It has helped a lot this week alone. This is not a long drawn out book either and it doesn't take a lot of time away from you to start applying. I plan on reading this book again and highlighting key points that I want to apply more.
My marriage is in trouble. Deep trouble. I have been searching for what I did wrong. I've read a lot of books and articles. This simple book summed everything up in less than an hour. I cried so hard on some pages because I saw myself on that page. I saw my mistake. I saw how to fix my mistake. When I got to #86 my heart sank. I pray that it doesn't get that far for anyone. I pray that I got this book in time to save my own marriage. I think this book should be issued to couples when they apply for a marriage license. It is very simple common sense stuff that you just don't think about. It should be reviewed once a month. It's that important. Thank you Matthew Jacobson for this jewel.
I read this book and now keep it as a great idea book to reference. It is about easy to apply direct application. This is not about building a broader framework for your relationship. It really is just some simple tips to show love in easy ways. My wife is my best friend, but I do sometimes blank out for date night or for just a good idea on how to do something nice for her. This is a great book for those times.Also, my father-in-law hates to read. With how this book is divided into 1 or 2 minute sections, he has really enjoyed this book for his marriage.
